Peeps, she's two. Can you believe it? Here's how Alexis spent her second birthday . . .
Lunch at Chuck E. Cheese. Coincidentally, it was the first time I had ever set foot in the rat/kid trap.
Then an afternoon at the Children's Museum.
Home in time for dinner and cake. I put zero effort into her cake this year for many reasons, and it was a good thing because Alexis put zero effort into eating her cake this year. She will be getting another chance to smash/eat cake next Saturday, so I think I'll be starving her all day to insure maximum photo opportunities.
"Regular" posts will resume tomorrow.

What fun...Happy Birthday little one!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Alexis!!!
ReplyDeleteThere is something on my blog for you!
Happy Birthday! Time flies, huh? :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute is she! Happy Birthday Princess Alexis!!
ReplyDeleteYour first time to Chuck E. Cheese??? Wow! Ummm...they serve beer there. Just in case, you know, you ever needed to know that.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I love the upside down sunglasses. Too cute!
She is absolutely precious!!!! Happy birthday, beautiful girl!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Alexis! The photo of her eyeing the cake looks like she'll be diving in any minute -- love the tongue sticking out! Also? the picture with the glasses is priceless!
ReplyDeleteI second Tootsie in my disbelief that you've somehow made it this long with a visit to Chuck E. Just wait until she's in school and the birthday conga starts -- one right after the other!
What a fun, fun day! I love the glasses. And if that cake is 0 effort I'm ashamed to say that it rivals the best efforts put forth by me.
ReplyDeleteI hope you've found Chuck to be quite an engaging large rat, because as a parent you've got many more meetings in store with him.
A child with no interest in cake? Relish it!
ReplyDeleteEmily
You got some awesome pictures, and filled the day with a lot of fun! I just wrote about my first trip to the Cheese. Funny that she looks so interested in the cake in that picture, but she didn't want any!
ReplyDeleteYou gave her that baby doll, didn't you? Sucker.
Two classic photos - licking the licks while anticipating cake, and upside down sunglasses! And the cake is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWe did Chuck E once. Yes, Just once.
Happy Two!
Happy Birthday, Alexis :)
ReplyDeleteI love the first pic of her and the cake with her tongue sticking out :)
Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteWe actually may be making a trek to the burgh this weekend. We were thinking of going to the Children's Museum, but my sister said the Science Center is actually even better for little ones? Have you gone there?
And I WISH I could post pictures on the comments because I have a picture of my 2 1/2 yo wearing those EXACT same sunglasses upside down. She is sitting on my lap now and her eyes got so big when she saw Alexis' picture! Of course, she said "I can't find them!" because she lost those sunglasses for now.
Glad she had a great birthday! I love that little cake! So cute!!!!
Did you have the disgusting pizza at Chuck E. Cheese's?
ReplyDeleteAnd that cake was zero effort? Looks fancier than anything I could make with 100% effort. Don't make me hate you, I just found you for crying out loud.
At least Alexis looked adorable with her pigtails.
Peeps, the cake was horrendous in person. Trust me, the camera is being very kind to it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun birthday! Lucky little cutie. Happy Birthday, Alexis!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2nd Birthday Alexis!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteThat last one slays me. And, get ready for serious Chuck E time the next, oh, six years.
ReplyDeleteweeee! chuck-e-cheese!
ReplyDeleteglad Alexis had such a great day! Looks like it was better than my day moping around in my pj's!
And I see, as suspected, that Dora was invited to the party. ;)
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very fun day indeed.
Happy birthday, Alexis.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Burgh Baby's Mom..you've been tagged for a "reading meme" over at
http://notesfromsmalltown.wordpress.com, which is my other blog. Blame my bro for this one.
What a fun day! Happy Birthday Alexis! I love your pictures. My favorite on is her with the sunglasses upside down or maybe feeding the baby- okay- I can't decide because I like the cake and fork picture too. I love them all!
ReplyDeleteoh goodness, she is just too sweet for words!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like she had a blast! How fun!
ReplyDeleteIf she didn't eat the cake, doesn't that just mean more for you? Yeah!!!
Happy 2 Sweetie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day. We've been to that children's museum and it is quite awesome. As for Chuck, well, we've only been there once too.
Adorable pics. Happy Birthday. Your little girl and my youngest are just 20 days apart.
