Melting Mom's Annoyance the Easy Way

If you ever want to make your Mom instantly forgive you for weeks and weeks of random bad sleep habits, just perform the following four easy steps:

1. Place your adorable little chubby hands on either side of you mom's face.

2. Turn your mom's head until she is facing you.

3. Say, "Mommy, you're pretty. I love you!"

4. Kiss her on the nose.

INSTANT MELT. Guaranteed.

  1. it also works for forgiving weeks of chronic misbehavior as a certain little boy goes "through a phase".
I found that Gavin will kiss me randomly to bribe me into giving him something...like juice in the middle of the night (I didn't say it worked...)

  2. Look how innocent and sweet. And then they wake up.

Why don't they do that wonderful kiss and compliment thing more often?

  5. Yep, works every time! For the non-talkers, just a great big grin and a hug works, too.

    She's such a little angel.

  7. You would think that at some point that particular song and dance would lose some of its effectiveness, right? Well, you'd be wrong.

    *sigh*

I still forgive the teenager anything when he tells me he loves me. Random, out of the blue love... not the kind I force by saying it first. :)

  11. I love the way they look when they sleep. How do they know so early and so well how to manipulate us into puddles of pudding? Sigh....

I swear Little Man and Alexis share a brain!

He came into the bedroom last week when I was working, asked to be let on the bed and suddenly he quietly said "Mama?" and when I answer "yes, baby?" he said "I love you!"

And I literally thought of giving him 10 bags of oreos and the keys to my Jeep.

The power they have these kids...
