Reward for Safe Return (of Babyhood)

Once upon a time, there was a chubby wubby little baby who had not one, not two, but THREE yummy little fat rolls on her legs. Sadly, the chubby wubby little baby decided she should outgrow one of those yummy little fat rolls before she even hit her first birthday. She grew and she grew and she chased that yummy little fat roll away.

Then, the chubby wubby little baby got the horrible idea in her head that she should walk. (I know, the nerve.) Quickly, a second yummy little fat roll began to feel unloved and it too melted away, leaving just one yummy little fat roll.

That one yummy little fat roll was a persistent little fat roll. It hung in there through the Summer, Fall, and even Winter. But as Spring slowly rolled around, it began to look for it's friends Yummy Little Fat Roll #1 and Yummy Little Fat Roll #2. Sadly, as Spring turned to Summer, it decided to take it's search on the road. Yummy Little Fat Roll #3 is gone, leaving only a faint shadow of its former glory on the chubby wubby little baby's legs.

If you've seen Yummy Little Fat Roll #3, could you please send it back? There's a reward for its return.

Oh, the loss of the Fat Rolls. What's even worse is when their mean cousin Mr. Ribs start showing up.

Then you know the baby's gone.

  3. Love the new look! I'll send you a roll of cinnamon rolls and you feed them to Alexis. I guarantee you will find her Fat Rolls on no time ;)

Your baby is growing up, mama!

  4. This new look is fantastic!

And yes, those little fat rolls go away, I'm sorry to report. But for some of us, in middle age, they come back! *gasp*

    Peace - D

  5. Based on the fact that she's built like her mama, that fat roll ain't never comin' back.

I cannot believe you got her a Dora swimsuit. You cave too easily.

  6. Awww! That dang Father Time stole them all. He may give them back when she really doesn't want them.

  7. We have some extra fat rolls here. Eleanor would have happy to send one or six to you.

  8. First- love how you've redecorated here!

Second- I share your pain in losing those Michelin rolls :( Babisodes is even losing her chubba wubba feet! *sobs*

    LOVE that bathing suit ;)

  9. Evie's chub is already disappearing...although she IS still sporting one good leg roll and cankles. Give her a few more months of walking and playing with the big kids and it all will be gone...

Alexis is The Bomb in the suit. Even if it is Dora. If she can pull that off, she can pull anything off!!

    Amy's are gone too. *cries*

And when she lifts her arms, all I see are ribs and hips and pokey bony bits. What happened to my baby?

  12. Awww...time flies by way too fast, taking with it all the good "babyhood" stuff. I'm thinking that cute little fat roll #3 starting disappearing right around the time she learned to say "SHOOT THE PUCK"--ha! Fat rolls or no fat rolls...incredibly cute. And lookin' mighty fine in the swimsuit :)!

  13. I think that her fat rolls came to my house and made themselves at home on my legs. I will be sure to send them packing and straight back to you!

The fat rolls leaving makes me so sad. I see Morgan's are starting to try and leave and really? I don't know much I like that.

  15. I think I absorbed the roll into my right thigh this winter. You're welcome to take it back.

Same thing happened with my son. All chub and now he's tall and lanky. Damn-it.

  19. I think her fat roll is on my butt. I'll be more than happy to hand it over. Stupid roll won't leave!!

I miss the chubby rolls on the legs too. I miss the baby EVERYTHING. I was told today that Bean is not a BABY but a very big boy. Those are his words not mine.
'Scuse me while I go add to my fat rolls with some comfort food.

  21. Everyone else beat me to it, the fat rolls have unfortunately made there way over to my place too....

I love the pics. Yep, they grow and change. Wait until you have to go bra shopping though, then you know the fat rolls and baby are really gone. (She says feeling very sorry for herself.) Sniff.

  22. Oh so sweet. I don't know about the rolls, but I like the tribute to the salty margarita!
Can't wait to see the princess suit she picks out next!

  23. Awwwww. That's so sad! The yummy little fat rolls are the best! My little one is losing hers already. If I find any extras, I'll let you know.

    She's still super adorable!

  24. Awww...my babies never had fat rolls on their legs...hers are so cute!! I'll keep an eye out for it, but it's doubtful it will turn up in my beanpole household...unless it meets my waistline...where it will no longer be allowed to be called 'yummy'.

We also lost the baby gut. It breaks my heart and also, it makes it harder for pants to stay up now.

  26. I think the fat roll (and four of its closest friends) have taken up residence on Sumo's thighs. Or possibly arms.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think all three rolls took up residence on my belly. Dang those rolls! Don't they know they only belong on babies! Preferably the legs AND arms on babies.

  28. I love those cute little rubber band wrists, that and chubby cheeks. My kids never had either, they were those skinny little kids who did NOT get it from me.

    ReplyDelete
  29. You can have one (a couple) of mine!! I just took that to a bad place... didn't I?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think I may have found that fat roll .....I think it is around my waist. ICK!

    Your little girl is precious!

  31. I cried when I noticed the fat roll around their wrists were gone. "Cried" of course means did a shot.

  33. But darn! she's still so cute!!

My son had the most adorable natural mohawk until he was 1. Gone, gone, gone are his rocker days :(

  34. Funny that chubby is only cute once in our lives. It is hard to see the stages pass by, well, most of them. I'll hang out with you soon, and when you watch me chase Dylan around until I'm exhausted, you will love the stage Alexis is in right now.

  35. Awww, so sweet! I know the feeling, Connor has almost lost his last fat roll :(

  36. I think your missing chubby wubby roll found it's way to my belly. I'll try to chase it back to you because I certainly do not look cute with it.

speaking of cute...love the swim suit...and I can't believe you went for Dora...such'a sucker! ;)

  39. I have to say I am glad that I still have some fat rolls to squeeze. But he's walking now so it's only a matter of time before they runaway too... : (

  40. I'm putting out a reward too. Not for fat rolls but for my little girl in general... I'm going to have TEENAGER in 3 days! Freakin' out here!

    I'll share mine!
Sadly, I'm the only one around here with any to share, too. :-( Sad days, my friend. SAD days.

  42. I can so relate to this post!
    I want them back! Every.single.one.of.them!

  43. As long as they still have dimples on their knuckles, they're still babies. It's a rule.

Aw, haha! What a great story.

Alex was born a fatso, but he quickly became tall and lean. By around 2 months of age, he had no fat rolls. Now he's chunking up eating solid foods and formula, so he has gained fat rolls in his babyhood!

That little Dora swimsuit is almost too cute. I can't believe they make these things.
