Pittsburgh rocks. No doubt about it. There is more than enough to do here and we could have stayed busy without ever leaving the city during the staycation. However, we did venture beyond for exactly one day. One of our stops was Ohiopyle. While we didn't have nearly enough time to play there, we did manage to let Alexis hit yet another "beach." She loved it.

You make me want to throw the boys in the truck tomorrow and GO THE HECK HOME. Sigh. Alas, BB has school.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics!
I wish I was still small enough to be flung around in the water like that!
ReplyDeleteWhat gives...why can't I see the pics?:(
ReplyDeleteLook at her standing there in the water, so cute. I'm gonna have to try this staycation thing sometime...
ReplyDeleteso stinkin' cute. wish i still had one to swing around like that.
ReplyDeletewait.
no i don't.
i'll just enjoy yours vicariously instead!
Ohiopyle is gorgeous, isn't it? That's one of the things I love about Pittsburgh, too: you got your museums and then you got your nature. You should trek up to Moraine State Park sometime -- less than an hour away, and very pretty. Good for a picnic!
ReplyDeleteciao,
rpm
Ohiopyle rocks for picture taking when the leaves change, but you have to time it just right.
ReplyDeleteWe love Ohiopyle, too. But the water is always so COLD.
ReplyDeleteHow FUN!!! I love the muddy hands shot. So cute!

Looks like fun. I need a staycation.

ReplyDeleteI love Ohiopyle, haven't been there in years. I'm putting it on our FALL list.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me!
Awesome pictures... Who knew there was more to Pittsburgh than bad football and hockey teams. (ducks quickly under desk)
ReplyDeleteThose pics are great!I love the waterfall and the one of her being thrown around in the water.
ReplyDeleteOh, fun! I love Ohiopyle. It looks like Alexis had a blast at yet another "beach." Lucky kid...gets to go to the beach all the time!
ReplyDeleteThat pictures of her from behind with her little feet in the water? Wonderful.
My kids would be so jealous! We mean to get there again but you know how it is. We were there once w/the cousins and had a string of 6 kids trailing out into a current, floating down the river, anchored to Sam. They talk about that yet.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a place we used to camp at. Beautiful pictures, your daughter looks so happy!
ReplyDeleteSomeone likes water :-) Do you have any mermaids in your family tree? Just saying ;-)
ReplyDeletethese are great shots!
ReplyDeleteYEP.
ReplyDeleteyou definitely make it look awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing it for REALZ.
Did you do something to your blog? It's loading up really really slow.
ReplyDeleteCool pics, once again! What kind of camera do you use?
ReplyDeleteYou do a great job of making Pittsburgh look great!
That place is gorgeous! It reminds me a lot of a place my brother took us to in Virginia once. Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I have never, ever thought of Pittsburgh as a vacation destination, but reading about all the cool things you have done on your 'Staycation' has me thinking differently! Not only that, you have inspired me to really start looking for all of the little things that Denver has to offer!
ReplyDeleteDo my eyes deceive me? Is that Silly Billy Burgh in a shot? Be still my heart. And, Mr. Husband looks like he had fun, too.
ReplyDeleteWe might have to take some day trips to Pittsburgh, or take an extra day when we go visiting my hub's family in Ohio. Cool pics. :-)
ReplyDeleteOnly two hours away! I'm so going . . .
ReplyDeleteGotta love gettin' in touch with nature.
Doh...now I can see the pics!
ReplyDeleteDude! You're hawt!
ReplyDeleteOh - and the kid is cute, too. Duh.
You're making me homesick!
ReplyDeleteI miss me the Ohiopyle.
