Picking and Choosing Her Audience

This video, which was sent to me by one of our daycare teachers, has been in my possession for a few weeks. We've watched it something like 2346241.41 times. Each time it cracks me up, althoughy really my response should be more like OMG! How rude! followed by a stern lecture and maybe a stint in prison. For her, not me. I'm not that rude.

I think the most amazing part of this little display of cute followed by obnoxious followed by OMG! How rude! is that it took place in the midst of the absolute chaos that is 20+ three and four-year olds running loose in an enclosed space. It's like Alexis was standing in the middle of a pinball machine while multi-ball was in effect. She is completely unphased by it all and magically manages to avoid getting smashed in the back of the head by a shiny silver ball. That may very well be because the short people are crazy, but not crazy enough to go near the kid with the floppy hat and dangerous purse.

Fickle? Yes. Bossy? Yes. Mine? Definitely yes.

  1. Might be hard to become a real live princess if she won't let people gaze at her adoringly...

  2. Yep, A and I are from the same cloth. I knew I loved her for multiple reasons...

Super star and super shy. Gosh, I hope we can get her past that sooner than I did... Ugh.

    Regardless, I adore her. :-)

  4. Ah, yes. We get that all the time. But it's usually when she's embarrassed because she was caught doing something she shouldn't be.

    STOP LOOKING AT ME, SWAN!

  7. I love how she can't even muster the rage. Just simple fact: Don't look at me. Or I shall flick at you with this purse. LOVE the singing and dancing into the mirror.

  11. that is too funny! Reminds me of my younger one. She will be dancing or acting out this big thing and then as soon as someone looks at her, she scowls and tells us not to watch or makes a mean sound to tell us she's not pleased. At least the girl knows what she wants and isn't afraid to say it!

  12. I'm picturing her in 10 years as a cheerleader, and some poor nerd makes the mistake of looking at her during practice.

I'm just glad Little Man lives in Texas so that he won't be the poor nerd subjected to the tirade that is bound to follow by a 15-year old Alexis.
