The Weather Outside Might be Frightful

But strappy Dora sandals are still delightful. (Hey, at least she was wearing clothes.)

  1. Laughing. Out. Loud at your comment about your hubby and jalapenos!!! Um, yeppers.

This picture is too cute! If only it would snow here! We'd still wear flip flops probably :-) At least the rest of her is dressed.

  2. It's all about pushing Mommy's buttons. Either undress or wear something completely inappropriate. Call it training for the teen years. Except they're cute at this age.

  3. Man is Miss Peach on that page...It's all I can do to get shoes on her at all!

  4. I am in HEAVEN. Can we please arrange a marriage between my son and your daughter now??? I canNOT believe that I've stumbled across you - another mom, from my TOWN, no less - in this giant black hole we call the internet!

Unfortunately I'm stuck in Jersey for what looks like forever, and we're limited to the number of Steelers games we actually get to see out here. I'm in withdrawal. Even worse, I'm worried my son will be a Giants fan. Ugh.

  5. I think maybe I should tone down the sarcastic teasing for a while. It can get me in trouble at times. So, I'll just say Alexis, you go girl, follow your own fad - don't succumb to the fashion gods.

  6. Jen--Never tone down the sarcasm. It's my favorite thing about you.

  7. Too funny! My little boss just pulled her flip flops out of the closet and put those on her feet...must be in the air or something! I say- she rocks for being a leader and not a follower! Who says we can't do a little seasonal mixing! You rock Alexis! Keep making your own choices in life and don't do something just because everyone else does it!

  8. At least she has something on her feet. My toddler keeps taking his socks off. LOL! Very cute pic!

I like that the weather does not constrain her choice of fashion shoes. My girl has a very strange fashion sense, but I've decided not to worry about it for a while. Tomorrow she is wearing a pajama top to preschool, along with regular pants. Oh, why not.

Your girl is such a CUTIE!

  13. Those sandals are so cute! I can't get Punkin to wear anything like that. These days she always heads for her frocs (faux Crocs). But hey, she can put them on and off by herself so I say more power to ya girl!

I wish it would snow here. Just for a teeny weeny second. My kids have never seen snow. Heck, I haven't seen snow in YEARS! Remind me to tell you about the "blizzard" of `93 sometime.

  15. Oh how awesome! We had snow until today, when it all melted in our sudden 40 degree weather. Hopefully, we'll get it back by Friday, when it's supposed to get cold again.

    Your daughter is too cute!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy WW!

  16. Yes, but did you get the peanut butter?

Oh, and what she's telling you is that she's ready for you to fly her some where warm and tropical for Christmas...

  17. People, there is nothing cute about pink lame strappy shoes. Nothing at all. In fact, the girliness of it all makes me want to plop down in front of the TV to watch a football game, chug a beer, stick my hand down my pants, smoke a cigar, and talk about manly things like cars and boobs.

  18. Yes! I have peanut butter. And sugar (after the great fudge crisis of 2007). But now we're out of milk.

  19. Too cute! She reminds me so much of my Alexis - she is always grabbing her flip-flops or sandles - no matter what the weather is outside! Cute picture. See you later. Kellan

  21. so stinking cute...and so stinking familiar. my daughter, when she was little, only wanted to wear her butterfly sandals...no matter the weather. drove me crazy, trying to explain frost bite to her. and now, i have my four year old that thinks his water shoes are for winter use! oy vey!!!!
btw...y'maam...on the vacation order. how i wish i could. hubby thinks our sitter could handle all 5 kids, for the entire weekend. i'm thinking, we should probably test her...and her sanity!
    xoxo

  22. Hi! Just found your blog! I lived in the 'burgh for 8 years - between college and marriage. Now I am north of you in the middle of nowhere.

Anyway, cute post. Yes, our world here is covered in snow and ice, but my 2 yo spends most of the day running around in only a onesie and a tutu. Luckily we have a woodstove so at least inside it is toasty warm.

    Kids, crazy huh?

  23. She's got her own style! I imagine those strappy shoes aren't great this time of year in your hood? As it's 80 here right now, she can come hang with me.

  24. And, YAY Ben!! Keep it up my buddy! Knew you'd get that one!
