A Few Random Photos . . .

Lately Pittsburgh's weather has been, well, craptastic. I keep complaining that I'm all for the extended hockey season, but that the extended hockey weather is SO not necessary. Between the cold and the rain on Saturday, there was a brief moment where that bright yellow thing (I forget what it's called) shone for a while, resulting in a rainbow. We happened to be in the midst of car purchase torture at the time, but I ran outside with Alexis so she could see her very first real rainbow. You would have thought I was showing her Dora dipped in glitter and Zoe--she was more than a wee bit excited.

Speaking of the new car, it took exactly two days for the stupid thing to start calling me names. I think it's mad that I keep saying I miss my Mitsubishi. (Hi, Mitsi! I love you! I'm sorry I had to leave you like that, but DUDE! $80 to fill your tank? I can't do that every week. Sorry. Maybe your makers will figure out a way to make you more fuel efficient. If they do, we will be together again some day.)

I know that I shouldn't stop to take photos when the Toddler is clearly experiencing extreme duress, but she's the fruit loop that got herself stuck in a doll's high chair in the first place. I still haven't figured out HOW she rammed her big butt in there.

This one is just because crazy faces make me laugh and I have a ton of photos that I haven't posted yet.

Great pics!!! Anh oh man, I love that one of Alexis in a doll chair! Freddy's face is exactly the same when he's unhappy! :-)

  3. Holy cow, did Alexis get ahold of a can of Crisco?

  4. let us not forget that i was the mean mom who shot photos while my daughter cringed in pain during the casting of her broken arm.

    i TOTALLY understand this!

  5. She's totally sitting on a doll, too.

  6. Oh, the poor baby in that high chair. Now that I have said how utterly sorry I feel for her, it is really funny.

  7. Picture #1: That is amazing! Such a long rainbow and your awesome camera captured it perfectly!

Picture #2: I would be taking any car that called me a butthole to the junkyard. Who needs that?!

Picture #3: And you think I am mean?

    Picture #4: Love it!

I love me some Mr. Canon shots!!

If my kid were stuck in the chair? I'd SO stop to take the picture. The extra 13 seconds won't kill her.

Her sticking her tongue out? That's just funny :)

  9. She's sitting ON her baby! The poor thing's arms are dangling uselessly out the sides. It's head will probably never recover. I am scarred from witnessing that tragedy. You're a butthole of a parent for letting that happen.

  10. Yes, that is priceless. Yup, I would be grabbing the camera too! Never a dull moment when you've got a little one. Never.

The weather has been crappy lately, hasn't it? Wow. It's impressive even for Pittsburgh! Looks great out now, though, and like the weekend has some potential!

HOW did she manage that!? And she's even sitting ON the baby doll! That is impressive, I've got to say. I would have taken a picture, too.

  12. Dude! How'd you get her arse out of that high chair? It looks to me like you'd have to saw her out of there much as I did two nights ago when one of Sumo's bottles melted and then re-froze around the heating element in our dishwasher (creating a bottle donut). I had to take a serrated Cutco and SAW the bottle out. Good times.

  13. Oh my gosh...how did she get in there? and how did you get her out?

    Wow.

    Too funny.

Love the last photo. What a doll!

  14. I'd take a picture of my daughter rammed in a doll's high chair too - and show it off to her prom date. HA!

  15. Obviously Baby Shell is holding her in that doll chair. That baby is the devil. And perhaps the Dora jammies have something to do with it too.

  16. The doll chair photo is future blackmail fodder...

And she's just the cutest little thing.

  17. LMAO! Okay your car called you a butthole. That was unkind.
My car and i have a love only relationship. You have to talk nice to it.
And Alexis is cracking me up in that highchair. I would have totally snapped a pic too. Just to show her one day WHY you have gray hair.

  18. LMAO at the picture of Alexis crammed in the doll highchair! My niece has the same one and Thomas tries to get in it too! Too freakin' funny!
    Lovely rainbow :)

  21. The weather around he has been particularly yucky! The furnace is still coming on and it is almost June. Ridiculous! That pic of Alexis in the high chair is hysterical. I totally would have taken a picture too!

  23. If there is any possible way for them to get stuck in it, they will. ;o)

  24. You take the greatest photos! The one with Alexis in the doll's high chair reminds me of Katelyn getting stuck in Jacob's bebe pod the other day. She couldn't figure out how to take the tray off. I should really keep my camera close by at all times (hehe).

  25. My van is no where NEAR smart enough to call me names (it just grunts and hisses like a caveman on crack), but given the names I call IT, I'm sure if it could they wouldn't be nice. Not nice like butthole anyway.

I totally get the grab-the-camera before helping feeling. I come by it naturally. My mom took a picture of my brother the day he fell in the toilet.

So...how DID you get her out?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ah ha ha!
You are among the ranks of many mommies who will catch their children in (amusing) helpless moments like that. I must say that I'm one of them.
    How can we not?
    The highchair pic?
Two words - HI - LARIOUS...
    tee hee!

    That cracks me up!

It's always funny when they get stuck in precarious places. The other day my son got stuck in a regular chair...have no idea how...but he was all contorted up with his arms through the rungs!
It was great.....should have taken the picture...and would have...but he was really screaming LOUD!

  28. Butthole huh? m'kay.
    The rainbow is gorgeous.
I laughed so hard at her in the highchair, I stop to take those kind of pictures too.
    We're such good parents.

OK, the fact that there's a doll being smothered to death by Alexis' Pampered hiney really sent me over the edge in a laughing fit. That pic? Would totally be framed in my house.

  30. Oh boy--did you have to break the doll high chair to get her out?!
    The rainbow was beautiful!

  31. I just laughed so loud at poor Alexis in the high chair. CLASSIC.

And hey I just stopped and took a picture of my kid standing precariously a-top a flimsy plastic toy. So yeah, we rock at being Mamas! lol

  32. Great pic of the rainbow!!

Is it wrong that I love that pic of Alexis so upset? I always want to capture the Pumpkin with that face, but I never have my camera handy enough!

And that last pic is super duper adorable. What a precious girl you have.

  33. Such a funny post! Not that that surprises me or anything.

  34. love the rainbow and tongue pics...great shots.
my car doesn't call me names, it decides it wants to have expensive work done (can anyone say Water Pump AND Timing Kit?)...so I call it nice names until I'm out of earshot...then I'm all "POS this-and-that" like a highschooler talkin' smack about her mom who made her wipe off her make-up.
    whoa!

Oh, so don't be surprised if you get a bill from my employer to repair/replace my keyboard, laptop, docking station, and monitor because I spit out my pop laughing at the highchair pic. No joke. I made a huge mess and think I scared the crap outa my officemates with my cackle. I cannot stop laughing even now. I'm going to have to save that pic for when I'm having a rotten day. And to boot, while trying to suffocate that baby under her booty, I think that baby retaliated by biting Alexis' booty!!! So maybe she wasn't stuck as much as shocked from being bitten.

  35. Is she still in nappies? Because that doll could have hurt.

  41. That wasn't a real rainbow at the car dealership. That's just one of those things they do to make you feel all good so you drive away in their name-calling vehicle. You know a giant inflatable gorilla, one of those crazy cylindrical things with waving arms, and a "rainbow." Sucker.

  42. Stop to take a photo? Heck I would have stopped to take a nap! She's not going anywhere for a while!

i just downloaded 'the Look' by roxette and I laugh every time it randomly plays on my computer.

    you did this to me.

i would like Dora to be dipped in glitter--and Zoe? wow double whammy.

  46. So did you have to butter your baby up to get her out of there or what? Please tell Alexis that I'm not laughing AT her, I'm laughing with her. Well, just as soon as she realized that it is funny.

  47. I have lots of pictures of my girls like that. If I don't have a camera handy, I at least take the time to enjoy a good laugh. I figure they need to learn their lesson and maybe they won't do it again.

  48. Hey now...I may enjoy watching kids get stuck, but I'm not the one who posted the photos...

If I have a mean streak...what does that make you??

  53. awwww...this makes me want to rescue her and give her a big hug though.
Hey I've been meaning to ask if you've seen the Chinese version of Dora? Sis was home from school the other day, sick, and she had Nick Jr on. This cartoon comes on where they're talking in the same sing-songy type way they do on Dora (Like you're some kind of slow dimwhit)so I thought that's what it was only they were speaking Chinese instead of Spanish! I finally asked Sis where Dora was, (thinking it was Dora and of you & Alexis)She said it wasn't Dora at all. Truly, I think it's a conspiracy of some sort. I'm not sure who's behind it or what it all means, but something's fishy.
