  1. I turned on the tv the other morning and it happened to be on the View (I watch the news at night - same channel), and Miley Cyrus was on, giving an interview. I just about went sporky with the amount of times she said "like" in 20 words. If it had been a drinking game, I would have passed out from alcohol poisoning.

Sometimes I'm glad I had a boy (but who knows what's going to be out in 3 years when he's Alexis' age... God help me). I seriously hope to make him a rock music sort of boy. I think I'll disown him if he ever decides he likes country music (no offense to those who do.)

  2. You're a better mom than I am! My sister gave Diva a Miley Barbie for Christmas that plays music and sings when you push her belly button. Peanut loves it. I hate it! It is so loud that even with my tape over the speaker trick you can still hear it all over the house. She's gonna end up missing one of these days.

  3. Please tell me you did not actually buy that for her. It dropped on your front stoop, was tossed into your car's open window, was pilfered from a classmate's bookbag . . . or did the husband get suckered in?

    :-)

Oh, I like Miley too. My Diva would love that CD for her birthday, if you'd like to have it MIA.

  7. So far I have been lucky enough to shield Maggie from all things Pop Culture. She knows Sesame Street and Word World and Disney Princesses. I plan to keep it that way for as long as I can!

I wish your ears peace, my dear.

  8. I got to catch Miley's lovely screech-fest on the Today show yesterday morning. Can someone tell my why she screams her way through her live performance? Ugh.

  11. So it seems Alexis darling has her daddy wrapped around her finger TIGHTLY.But I do have to ask, is her new CD any good? I don't really care for her, but she has one song I keep accidentally singing along to whenever its on the radio.. "The Climb" or something. I'm a glutton for punishment. Poor You. My 9 year old likes Selena Gomez and Demi Lavato better.

  12. I'm giggling. Mainly because BB is currently refusing to listen to "girl songs" and only wants to listen to "boy songs." No Miley/etc here. Lots of Yo Gabba Gabba and Cars right now though. Fail.

  13. @Dina--The first song is OK, but the rest of the album is pretty bad. I almost hate to say the words, but I think the Hannah Montana movie soundtrack might be better. I'm not willing to find out firsthand, but I think it might be.

  14. If I hear that Party in the USA song one more time, I'm going to get stabby. It was catchy the first 100 times I heard it, but now it's just on my nerves.

  16. @Madame Queen--I hate, hate, hate, HATE that song. The stupid line about a Britney song makes my brain scream in pain.

  17. Dude. Put on your New Kids and utilize the volume knob. Methinks Joey (and, you know, the others) can outsing that Miley. :)
