Alexis and I had a bit of a girl's night out this evening, and while I thought we had a pretty good time, I'm not all that sure Alexis felt the same. As we were nearing our neighborhood, we had this conversation in the car:
Alexis: We watch Bug's Life.
Me: No, we're not watching Bug's Life. No TV tonight.
Alexis: Yes, TV is on and we watch Bug's Life.
Me: No, ma'am. There will be no TV tonight.
Alexis: Watch Bug's Life, silly!
Me.: Oh, no we're not, silly.
Alexis: No, you silly!
Me: You're sillier.
Alexis: No, you sillier!
Me: You're the silliest.
Alexis: No, you're the silliest.
Me: Nope, you're the silliest.
Alexis: Momma, you're a mess.

She's gonna be just like you . . . wait, she already is.
ReplyDeleteIsn't she a vision in baby blue . . .
I myself am having issues with a toddler who thinks the tv should be on all day.At least I figured out what time they changed Caillou too.If she doesn't get her Caillou fix everyday it gets ugly.
ReplyDeleteAlexis is so cute.I am glad you all had a girls night.Funny how she said your a mess.Haha.
LOL so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, she won.
ReplyDeleteWell, are you a mess?
ReplyDeleteHallie :)
That kid cracks me up!!
ReplyDeleteShe's so funny! And hey, the distraction worked!
ReplyDeleteIf you're a mess, I shudder to think what she would say about me!
ReplyDeleteP.S. What did she wear today? It's getting cooler. You might have to hide all the sundresses!
That girl Cracks. Me. Up.
ReplyDeleteHilarious! One time driving to the park, my daughter (2 at the time) jusmped out of the van and said, "Mommy, your driving is bad news!"
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder where she's heard that before? Hmmmmm?
ReplyDelete:-)
oh man.
ReplyDeletethat's so funny.
the "repeat backs" are either hilarious.....or convicting...he...he..
What an adorable picture.
ReplyDeleteshe has your number, kiddo.
ReplyDeleteOh she is too funny! I love it when my girls call me CRAZY!
ReplyDeleteYeah, where did she hear that one? I'm guessing it was not the first time someone called you a mess... I know I've called myself that a few times.
ReplyDeleteThese kids. They are funny!
Oh, dear Lord! That is too funny. And I respectfully decline to comment on its validity . . . or lack thereof.
ReplyDeleteYes, but are you a hot mess? Because all too often, that's exactly what I am...
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that kid of yours!!!
I lov e kids that age! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHey at least she didn't say "one hot mess".
ReplyDeleteHahaha!!! She is a hoot!
ReplyDeleteShe is so ready for a blog.
ReplyDeleteLOL.... I agree, I think she is sooooo ready for her own blog. She does have a good argument.
ReplyDeleteA bugs life is awesome.
I'm scared what my kid is going to say about me when he can string together full sentences!
ReplyDeleteHilarious!
I have taken to dismantling the tv and computer, ie, taking out important cables and such so as to limit their usage. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteMy kids are deprived. We have an antenna and analog tv reception on the 2 tv's. Only my new pc has a digital tuner. It gets 6 stations right now, as the rotator motor on my antenna is broken and needs to be replaced.
ReplyDeleteThe best thing about my new pc running Vista is the parental controls. You can set up each child's account to determine what time periods they are allowed to log in-say between 3 pm and 8 pm and how long they are allowed to use it. Once they reach their time limit, the pc logs them out and displays a message that they can not log in now due to limitations on the computer and to see the administrator-AKA mom.
Haha! Alexis is my favorite toddler ever, I think.
ReplyDeleteOh, just wait! She's gonna learn the phrase "I'll freak out!" soon, and then I'd like to see you keep a straight face!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least she knows what she's talking about! ;)
