I Have No Idea What She's Talking About

Alexis and I had a bit of a girl's night out this evening, and while I thought we had a pretty good time, I'm not all that sure Alexis felt the same. As we were nearing our neighborhood, we had this conversation in the car:

Alexis: We watch Bug's Life.
Me: No, we're not watching Bug's Life. No TV tonight.
Alexis: Yes, TV is on and we watch Bug's Life.
Me: No, ma'am. There will be no TV tonight.
Alexis: Watch Bug's Life, silly!
Me.: Oh, no we're not, silly.
Alexis: No, you silly!
Me: You're sillier.
Alexis: No, you sillier!
Me: You're the silliest.
Alexis: No, you're the silliest.
Me: Nope, you're the silliest.
Alexis: Momma, you're a mess.

  7. If you're a mess, I shudder to think what she would say about me!
P.S. What did she wear today? It's getting cooler. You might have to hide all the sundresses!

Oh, dear Lord! That is too funny. And I respectfully decline to comment on its validity . . . or lack thereof.

  24. I have taken to dismantling the tv and computer, ie, taking out important cables and such so as to limit their usage. Good luck!

  25. My kids are deprived. We have an antenna and analog tv reception on the 2 tv's. Only my new pc has a digital tuner. It gets 6 stations right now, as the rotator motor on my antenna is broken and needs to be replaced.

The best thing about my new pc running Vista is the parental controls. You can set up each child's account to determine what time periods they are allowed to log in-say between 3 pm and 8 pm and how long they are allowed to use it. Once they reach their time limit, the pc logs them out and displays a message that they can not log in now due to limitations on the computer and to see the administrator-AKA mom.
